Legal compliance for Greek e-shops

Is your e-shop legal? Check it in a minute.

Γ.Ε.ΜΗ. number and ΑΦΜ, cookie consent the Hellenic DPA would accept, 14-day withdrawal with the model form and the new withdrawal button, privacy policy, accessibility statement, sector licences. Nomos reads your shop the way an inspector would, tells you what is missing and on which law it rests, and hands you the text to fix it.

Part of the E-shop Guru platform.

Free mini-check

Type your shop's address. We read a few public pages and show you the first five findings.

Automated, indicative check — not legal advice.

We fetch public pages only, honour robots.txt and identify ourselves as EshopGuruBot. Results are deleted after 7 days.

What we check

42 rules, each with its legal basis, the sources we read and the date we verified it.

Business identity

Name, address, email and phone; ΑΦΜ shown, with a valid check digit and matching your account; Γ.Ε.ΜΗ. number, enforced with fines since 1.1.2026.

Policy pages

Privacy policy with controller, rights and the right to complain to the ΑΠΔΠΧ; terms; shipping and payment; cookie policy.

Withdrawal & returns

14 calendar days, the model withdrawal form, and the online «Πατήστε εδώ για υπαναχώρηση» function added by ν. 5317/2026.

Cookie consent

Which consent platform you run, which trackers load before anyone clicks, Google Consent Mode, and "continuing to browse means consent" wording.

Accessibility

The accessibility statement the European Accessibility Act requires of e-shops since 28 June 2025, with the microenterprise exemption.

Forms

Newsletter and contact forms without a privacy notice, and pre-ticked marketing consent boxes.

Prices

Whether prices say they include VAT, and whether discounts quote the lowest price of the previous 30 days.

Sector licences

EU common logo for online pharmacies, ΜΗ.Τ.Ε. number for tourism businesses, and more by sector.

How it works

  1. 1

    Your shop is already known

Name, website, address and ΑΦΜ come from your E-shop Guru account. Add the Γ.Ε.ΜΗ. number and your sector once.

  2. 2

    We read your site

A polite crawl of the homepage, the footer links and the usual policy pages. Static HTML, robots.txt respected, one page at a time.

  3. 3

    You get a to-do list

Violations first, then what to check by hand, then good practice — each with the law it rests on and the fix. Every month we check again and email you if something breaks.

Ready-made texts for what is missing

Drafts in Greek and English, already filled with your business details, as editable Markdown you can copy or download as HTML. Each one names the law it follows and leaves clearly marked gaps for what only you can know.

What Nomos is, and what it is not

  • It is an automated, indicative check. It is not legal advice and it does not replace a lawyer.
  • We only call something a violation when the rule is a legal requirement we have verified against the current law. Everything else is a recommendation.
  • We read static HTML. A cookie banner drawn by JavaScript, or what happens inside checkout, is marked "check manually" — never passed or failed blindly.
  • No link to the EU ODR platform is required any more: it closed on 20 July 2025.

Automated, indicative check — not legal advice. Nomos reads your site's public HTML and compares it with the rules we have sourced. It cannot see everything (JavaScript banners, checkout steps), and passing every check does not make a shop compliant. For decisions with legal consequences, ask a lawyer.
